Puppy class Age: 6-9 months (unofficial class) Dogs entered in puppy class will compete for best puppy of the breed.
Junior class Age: 9-18 months Dogs entered in junior class compete for certificate (CAC) and BOB. They do not compete for the CACIB. For some breeds apply that the dog should be entered in the working class in order to compete for the certificate. Please see the list of breeds under working class.
Intermediate class Age: 15-24 months Dogs entered in intermediate class compete for certificate (CAC), CACIB and BOB. For some breeds apply that the dog should be entered in the working class in order to compete for the certificate. Please see the list of breeds under working class.
Open class Age: from 15 months Dogs entered in open class compete for certificate (CAC), CACIB and BOB. For some breeds apply that the dog should be entered in the working class in order to compete for the certificate. Please see the list of breeds under working class.
Working class Age: from 15 months FCI working certificate must be enclosed. Dogs entered in working class compete for certificate (CAC), CACIB and BOB. The following breeds MUST be entered in the working class in order to compete for certificate (CAC): Border terrier, Brittany spaniel, Chesapeake Bay retriever, Curly coated retriever, Dachs-hund (all variants), Dobermann, Drentse Partridge dog, English Pointer, English Setter, Finnish Hound, Flat Coated retriever, French Wire-haired Korthals Pointing dog, German Hunting terrier, German Long-haired Pointing dog, German Shepherd dog, German Short-haired Pointing dog, German Wire-haired Pointing dog, Gordon Setter, Hungarian Short-haired Pointing dog, Hungar-ian Wire-haired Pointing dog, Irish Red and White setter, Irish setter, Labrador retriever, Large Munsterlander, Norwegian Elkhound black, Norwegian Elkhound grey, Old Danish Pointing dog, Pudelpointer, Rottweiler, Small Munsterlander, Swedish Dachsbracke, Swedish Elkhound and Weimaraner. Champion class Age: from 15 months Dogs entered in champion class compete for CACIB and BOB. They do not compete for certificate (CAC). Documentation for national or international championship must be enclosed. Danish champions MUST be entered in the champion class or the veteran class.
Veteran class Age: from 8 years Dogs entered in the veteran class compete for BOB and Best Veteran. They do not compete for certificate (CAC) and CACIB. Danish champions MUST be entered in the champion class or veteran class.
Progeny group A progeny group consists of a sire or dam with minimum three and maximum five of his/her prog-eny (first generation, sons/daughters). If the breed is submitted to a trial in order to obtain the certificate (CAC), at least two of the dogs in the group must have obtained the required trial. The dogs must be entered in the show in the champion class, junior class, intermediate class, open class, working class or veteran class. (The sire or dam may, however, be entered for the show outside judgment). Puppies – as well as dogs that have been awarded Disqualified or Can-not Be Judged – cannot form part of the group.
Breeder’s group A breeder’s group consists of minimum three and maximum five exhibits of the same breed and variety without distinction of sex, bred by the same person (same kennel name). If the breed is submitted to a trial in order to obtain the certificate (CAC), at least two of the dogs in the group must have obtained the required trial The dogs must be entered for the show in the champion class, junior class, intermediate class, open class, working class or veteran class. Puppies – as well as dogs that have been awarded Disqualified or Cannot Be Judged – cannot form part of the group.
